Frequently Asked Questions

How do I play the game?
Select a category from the main screen (Appliance, Bird, Fashion, Fish, Flower, Fruit, Kitchen, Mammal, Mean, Reptile, Sport, Tool, or Vegetable). Look at the image that appears and use the text fields below to spell out the word that describes the image. As you type, the image will progressively fade. Once you guess correctly or the image completely fades, you can move to the next image.
How do I input letters in the word?
Each letter in the word has its own text field. Simply tap on a field and type one letter. The cursor will automatically move to the next field. You can tap on any field to edit specific letters if you make a mistake.
What happens if I guess the word correctly?
When you correctly spell the word, you'll see a success message and the image will clear. You can then tap the arrow buttons to move to the next image in the category.
What happens if the image fades completely?
When the image fades completely, you'll see a reset button (arrow icon) in the bottom-right corner and a speaker icon in the center. Tap the speaker icon to hear the word spoken aloud, helping you learn the correct spelling. Tap the reset button to start the timer again and bring the image back.
How do I navigate between images?
Use the arrow buttons (← and →) at the bottom of the screen to move between images. The counter shows your current position (e.g., "3 of 10") so you can see how many images are in each category.
Can I share my progress or screenshots?
Yes! Tap the share button (link icon) in the top-right corner of the game screen to share a screenshot of your current progress through social media, messaging apps, or save it to your device's photo library.
What categories are available?
WordGame includes 13 categories: Appliance, Bird, Fashion, Fish, Flower, Fruit, Kitchen, Mammal, Mean, Reptile, Sport, Tool, and Vegetable. Each category contains multiple images to help you learn and practice spelling different words.
Can I use my own photos?
Yes! You can take photos or select images from your photo library to use in the game. The app will automatically integrate your photos into the word guessing experience.
Is the app suitable for children?
Absolutely! WordGame is designed to be educational and family-friendly. It's perfect for children to practice spelling and learn new vocabulary. All content is age-appropriate and there are no in-app purchases, external links, or internet requirements.
Can I use the app offline?
Yes! WordGame works completely offline. All game features and images work without an internet connection. You only need internet for downloading the app from the App Store.
