Game Box Privacy Policy

How the Game Box iOS app handles information. No accounts, and your games stay on your device.

The short version

1. About Game Box

This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the Game Box app for iPhone and iPad (the “App”). Game Box is a collection of classic games:

In the App you can:

Computer opponents and puzzles run on your device. We do not use a game server, and there is no online multiplayer or chat.

2. Information We Collect

The App does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or health information. We do not use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or similar analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

2.1 Local Settings and Progress

The App stores the following on your device so the games can work:

This data is stored in the App’s local storage on your device. We do not upload your settings, scores, saves, or game boards to our servers.

2.2 Advertising

Game Box is free and supported by ads from Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK), which shows banner and interstitial ads. To deliver, measure, and prevent fraud on those ads, Google may collect:

Google’s use of this information is governed by its own policies: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

2.3 App Tracking Transparency

Before any tracking, iOS asks whether you allow the App to track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites. Before that system prompt, the App may show a short screen explaining why it asks.

You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.

2.4 Ad Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Other Regions)

Where the law requires it, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent before personalized ads or certain ad-related data processing. If a consent message applies in your region, an Ad privacy options button appears in the App’s Settings, so you can review or change your choice at any time.

2.5 “More Apps” Catalog

The App may request a public list of our other apps from https://healthplate.org/api/projects to show the “More apps” section, and may load the app icons. This request needs no account and does not send your game boards, scores, names, or settings. Like any web request, our server may receive standard technical information (IP address, request time, and user agent) for security and reliability. Tapping an app opens its App Store page.

2.6 Notifications

If you allow notifications and turn on reminders, the App schedules a reminder on your device (for example, if you skip a day). Reminders have generic text and do not include your game results. They are scheduled on the device, not sent from our servers. You can turn them off in the App’s Settings or in iOS Settings.

3. How We Use Information

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not share your settings, scores, saves, names, or game boards.

Google AdMob collects and processes advertising data as described in Section 2.2, based on your tracking and consent choices. Apple may process information as described in Apple’s privacy policy. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or services.

5. Third-Party Services

6. Data Retention

Your preferences, progress, and reminder setting stay on your device until you change them or delete the App. We do not keep a copy of your settings, scores, or game activity on our servers.

Server logs for requests to healthplate.org may be kept for a limited time for security, diagnostics, and operations. Advertising data collected by Google is retained according to Google’s policies.

7. Your Choices and Rights

8. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App has no accounts, chat, or social features, and does not ask for a name, email, birth date, or location. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

9. Security

Local App data is protected by the iOS app sandbox and your device’s security features. Gameplay against the computer runs on your device and does not send board or puzzle state to our servers. We use reasonable safeguards for our services, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

10. International Users

If you use the App outside the United States, information processed by Google, Apple, or our public server may be processed in the United States or other countries where those services operate. Local settings, scores, and saves stay on your device.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the updated policy.
