Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Chess Game (“the App”) handles information. The App is a single-player and same-device two-player chess game for Android and iOS. It is intended for users age 13 and older. We do not create accounts, and we do not ask you for your name, email, or other contact details inside the App.
1. Who we are
Chess Game is published by Vinh Tam Tan. Android package:
com.vinh.chessgameforkids. iOS bundle ID:
com.vinh.Chess-Game-For-Kids.
Questions about this policy: johnnyvinhtam@gmail.com
2. Information stored on your device
Gameplay happens on your device. The App stores settings and progress locally, for example:
- Sound on/off and volume
- Board theme, piece set, coordinates, and language
- Preferred side (White or Black)
- Saved games, stats, streaks, and similar progress
- Whether reminders or the in-app rating prompt were shown
This information stays on your device unless you back up the device (for example Android Auto Backup or iCloud/iTunes backup). Uninstalling the App usually deletes it.
3. Information we do not collect
- No user accounts or sign-in
- No name, email, phone number, or postal address from you
- No precise location, contacts, camera, or microphone
- No first-party analytics or crash SDK in the App
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App shows banner and interstitial ads from Google AdMob (Google LLC). Ads may use a device advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, where allowed) and other information Google collects to serve, measure, and (where permitted) personalize ads.
We use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request advertising consent where required (including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland). On iOS, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt may also appear before the advertising identifier is used for tracking.
Where required, you can change ad personalization in the App under Settings → Privacy options.

Opt out of personalized ads (Android):

Limit Ad Tracking / Tracking settings are in iOS Settings.
Ad partners may process data as independent controllers under their own policies. We do not sell your personal information for money.
5. Other apps catalog
If you open More apps, the App requests a list
of our other apps from
https://healthplate.org/api/projects.
That request can include standard technical data such as IP
address, device/OS information, and a short app user-agent
(ChessGame/1.0). It is used only to show our
portfolio and is not a social or account service.
6. Notifications
Optional local reminders can remind you to play. They are scheduled on your device. We do not send push notifications from our own servers. You can turn reminders off in Settings and in system notification settings.
7. Store, share, and rate features
Rate/review and share use Apple App Store or Google Play (and the system share sheet). Those companies handle any data under their own policies.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended to be used by them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will delete it where we can.
9. Legal bases (EEA/UK/Switzerland)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Legitimate interests — providing the App, storing local settings, showing non-personalized ads where allowed, loading the More apps list
- Consent — personalized advertising and use of the advertising identifier for tracking, where required
- Legal obligation — where we must keep or disclose information
You may withdraw consent in Privacy options and in system settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened.
10. Your choices and rights
- Change or delete local data by resetting settings or uninstalling the App
- Control ads via Privacy options, Google Ads Settings, and device tracking settings
- Control notifications in the App and in system settings
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights. Because we do not run user accounts, we may have little or no personal data about you beyond what ad partners hold.
California residents: we do not sell personal information as “sale” is commonly understood (for money). Advertising partners may use identifiers for targeted ads, which some laws treat as “sharing.” You can opt out through Privacy options and device ad/tracking settings.
11. Data retention and security
Local App data remains until you clear it or uninstall. Ad and catalog providers keep data under their own retention rules. We use standard platform security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
12. International transfers
Google and other partners may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, they use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. See their policies for details.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
